One correction - this is a dhamar not a dhrupad; the taal is dhamar (14 beats 5-2-3-4 variety); also dhamar is sung with limited alap as is the case here;

it is incredibly difficult to sing dhamar because of the uneven claps-wave fashion the taal has; on...
