For reference [and this is important for the v-log portion of this vid]: here's the - ahem - rendition of 'Leke Pehla Pehla Pyaar' sung at a rally in Karachi: http://www.youtub... .. and for those of you unaware of the recent controversy surrounding Waheeda Shah, click here: http://www.youtub...
Disclaimer: The video contains innuendo, mild obscenity and a whole lot of stupid - it's practically the Govinda of comedy sketches. Please watch the video at your own discretion. Also, my apologies if any of the content seems similar to the ten-thousand other 'Shit Pakistanis Say' videos out there.
This sketch has been broken down into several videos; in this one, we take on: People who take mehndis [and mehndi dances] WAY too seriously, Fashion designers [thank you, Aamna Haider Isani, for the material], People who act like they're from the first-world at local parties, and '-conscious' girls.. interpret that as you will, LOL!

The IMAX "Cosmic Voyage" film was made as a public service with sponsorship by the Smithsonian Air and Space museum. On DVD, borrowed from my local public library, it plays at just over 30 minutes with Morgan Freeman supplying a pleasing narrative. As one would expect from an IMAX film, the image quality is superb and the Dolby 5.1 sound track is very well done. Simulated cosmic explosions shake your walls! That is, if you have a good powered subwoofer in your system. The film takes a very useful approach to examining the size of the universe, from tiny sub-atomic particles to the vastness of the whole universe. (Fortunately, when God created the Universe he had dispatched a few angels with video cameras at different vantage points so we get to see actual footage from several billion years ago.) The film starts in Venice, where the discovery of the telescope originated, and uses a one-meter hoop as a reference point, then gradually goes larger by powers of 10, e.g. 10 meters, 100, 1000, etc until we can see the whole universe. Then it takes the opposite journey, going smaller by powers of 10 until be see inside sub-atomic particles. The story is well-woven with beautiful effects created especially for this film. It is entertaining and educational at the same time. All of "oldsters" can enjoy it for the scientific history we are already familiar with, and all the "youngsters" can enjoy it for the educational supplement it provides. Overall a masterful film. Any numerical "rating" of "Cosmic Voyage" is meaningless. If one is looking for a superb film about our universe and modern theories of its formation, this one is hard to beat. Kudos to IMAX and to the Air and Space Museum

I interviewed Prof. Hoodbhoy on the topic of Islam and education. We discussed how Islam and the Koran influences the education of young Muslims and the effect on their later life in scientific research positions.
We also chatted about his encounter and debate with Hamza, who, after telling a biology professor he is wrong about biology, now tells a physicist he is wrong about physics.
Hamza then insults Professor Hoodbhoy, who storms out as he is appalled at the level of dishonesty by his opponent and calls Hamza a liar, as he never said anything negative about Islam or Muslims. He acknowledges that Hamza is a good entertainer, but not knowledgeable in physics or cosmology.
Several students, who attended to support Hamza, changed their minds and confessed to the professor that they were also appalled at the tactics of Hamza.
As soon as Hamza releases the video he made with his TV-crew, we will know what exactly happened during that debate.
There is now a video covering this debate. Not by iERA or Hamza, but it is the debate I was talking about with the professor.

DCrAzJMaStErDeNReMiX -inspired by Melodysheep- i think a key to what's behind the belief in flying saucers it is most easily obtained if you look at the contact myths there are several hundred people in the United States who claim to have personal contact with the inhabitants of flying saucers who have landed and if you examine these myths you'll find that there are some peculiar regularities the ah, inhabitants of saucers are benevolent they are really concerned for our well-being they are omnipotent, extremely powerful omniscient, extremely knowledgeable and they often wear long white robes now this combination is something ive heard in another context this isnt science, this is religion what i suspect is happening is this we live in a very unsettled times it used to be possible to believe in a personal, benevolent, powerful, all-knowing god who cared on invididuals, who you could pray to but now, there is very few people who really believe that., i think science, for good or for ill, has destroyed a lot of the traditional theologies. and yet people have the same means to believe that they always did perhaps more so, because of the times we live in. flying saucer myths, are a really clever compromise, its a way of having beings that come from the sky that are worried about us, that are powerful that are gonna step in and prevent us from destroying ourselves as we very well might and yet have it in the cloak of science but no one can say nonsense, that doesnt match science its all very pseudo-scientific i would think that ah, that at least for the contact myths and probably for a lot of the events of people who just see things they dont understand flying overhead thats whats involved ah psychology and theology are not so much to the physical sciences where it is all connected with the possibility of extra-terrestial life that doesn't say that i think extra-terrestial life is impossible; quite the contrary: i think that many of the stars in the sky have planetary systems we know enough now that the origin of lives make it appear likely that life arises naturally on the vast boast of these planets its possible but by no means certain that life on many of these planets evolves into beings which are as advanced as we or more advanced, any reason why we cant imagine that there are civilizations thousands of millions of years in advance of ourselves capable of technical feats that we can hardly imagine. if you would believe as ah, as the flying saucer cultists would have us believe that the majority of the saucer reports are due to a visitations they have a very strange situation that means several spaceships are coming to the earth to reach the solar systems every day as if all the anthropologists in the world would convierge on one of the, the andaman islands and the indian ocean because they just invented the fishnet there or something i think there is much more reasonable if you want to spectulate on the possibility of extra-terrestial intelligence there are very rare visits, from extra-terrestials to the earth there is no evidence for this i could say that is not implausible but thats several visits a day i think its strange credulity

And no msn for quite a while, eugh.
Also, no msn, screw it. The window on the latest version must have been made by someone with mental problems, because there are advertisements covering 80% of it.
Well done.
