I love wine.

I love it so much I have made it my life.

I am a wine geek.

I am not formally trained and have no certificates for anything in wine. I am just obsessed with the juice; the history, the science, the culture; all aspects of wine are my passion.

I am an owner of an Italian Wine Bar and restaurant in the East Village of Manhattan called In Vino as well as an owner of a wine shop around the corner from the restaurant called Alphabet City Wine Co.

I believe that wine knowledge should be shared without pretense. The snobbery of wine needs to cease. Wine is more popular than ever in this country and we are being held back by those who choose to critique wine based on a point system that limits us to relying on them.

We can make our own decisions on wine with a little bit of knowledge.

I am not an expert I am a geek. I learn something new everyday about wine and love to share what I have learned. I like the way Socrates said it:

"All I know is I know nothing at all."
