My name is Máté "Matt" Gabnai, I was born in 1986 (Budapest, Hungary), now I live in Strasbourg, France. I speak french, english and hungarian.

My journey in music/vlog is the Minotaur Project. I try to put out an original song each month, and invite as many friends as possible to play with me.
Instrumental versions come first, then if there's a vocalist up for it, vocal versions come too :)

I do these songs to share my journey with others, to keep a diary (sort-of) of my life, to bookmark certain points in my career as a musician and a sound-engineer.

NO QUESTION WILL EVER BE ANSWERED ABOUT THE SOFTWARE I USE. I'm a sound engineer, this stays my dark little secret :)

I play bass since 2001. I was a student of a music college in Budapest, (Kőbányai Zenei Stúdió) between 2005 and 2010, and I'm damn proud of it.
I work as a sound engineer since 2004.
I studed jazz as well, and yes, I read sheets (if I have to) :)

I'm also the bass player of a french heavy-metal group Mystery Blue.

So long, I was the bass player of a Metal band called My Small Community, and a blues-influenced group Peef-Poof Project. I had to quit them when I decided to leave my home country. Both bands have found my replacement, so if you like the music, continue their support!

All of my basslines after 2010 were recorded with Prolude Amplification BHV 450L, and all the technical details are listed in each song's description.

I started making videos by doing bass covers, but I don't do that anymore. The covers are still there, if you're interested - I kept them up so you can see where this whole thing has started.
