This webinar was originally broadcast on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012 at 2 p.m. Eastern.
Representatives from AASHE, the Sustainable Endowments Institute, the Princeton Review, and Sierra magazine began meeting in March 2011 to develop common campus sustainability survey language. The collaboration then expanded to include designing a single survey web tool to eliminate the need for institutions to complete four separate surveys.
Join this webinar to learn more about this effort and how it will reduce survey fatigue for institutions participating in multiple frameworks that evaluate campus sustainability.
This webinar featured the following presenters: Jillian Buckholz, STARS Program Coordinator, AASHE Avital Binshtock, Sierra magazine Meghan Fay Zahniser, STARS Program Manager, AASHE Mark Orlowski, Sustainable Endowments Institute David Soto, the Princeton Review

Over the past year the STARS Program has made a lot of progress. Over 130 institutions have completed their inaugural STARS Report, AASHE launched STARS 1.1 of the Technical Manual (and released a subsequent Administrative Update to this version), and STARS became available to the international community through the STARS International Pilot. New and renewing registration numbers continue to climb, as does the number of subscribers to the STARS Update.
As 2011 comes to a close, AASHE continues to plan future developments to the STARS Program in 2011. STARS 1.2 is anticipated to launch in the first quarter of 2012 which will be accompanied by enhancements to the STARS Reporting Tool. There will also be a new design to how an institution documents its institutional boundary and STARS Innovation credits. Next year, AASHE will welcome new Steering Committee members and Technical Advisors that will oversee these developments as well as discuss potential updates for the next major change to STARS, version 2.0.
AASHE has been busy over the last year making the STARS Program better based on feedback and support from the higher education community. Join this webinar to hear a recap of our 2011 efforts and highlights to come of STARS over the next year.
The webinar will feature the following presenters: Jillian Buckholz, STARS Program Coordinator, AASHE Meghan Fay Zahniser, STARS Program Coordinator, AASHE
