So I'll guess maybe 150 times under the piano to get this type of reproduction from a Duo-Art. They're great when they're done right but it's so hard to get them to do it. This is really VERY good. Now if you'll just tune the thing.

An Argentine friend gave me a tape of her tango CD 20 years ago. I was never able to locate the CD. The most remarkable playing. If you have any leads I will gladly follow them. I miss her full and total commitment. Her playing of the 'old' tango style is unmatched also.

All is dependnt on cuetip distance from the cueball while in the set position. For precision it should be very close indeed. It means that there need not be any elbow drop 'cuz if you do you'll make contact higher than you had intended. Plus any excess motion means more things can go wrong.

@alterman156 Yes, it's true. I believe it's because they really tried and believed in what they were doing. There is real immediacy and presence in many of these rolls. The reproducing systems were unbelievably refined. Imagine; 100 year old technology performing so incredibly well.
