The Symbolism of Pickles
Pickles are ugly. But they're also kind of pretty, in an ugly way. They are bitter and salty but many people enjoy them. They have change from a cucumber in good and bad ways: they taste good now, but a ton of salt needed to be added for that. Pickles are simple and complex. You can overlook them in a refrigerator, but sometimes there is nothing you want more than a pickle. "You're in a pickle" can mean that you're having a problem, but pickles aren't really problematic. They just sit in a jar, waiting to be eaten. Some people love them, some people hate them. It's because pickles are exactly like humans.
