But millions of people fall for it.

They think that just because a lot of other people fall for it, that makes it right.

Once upon a time the same was true of flat-earthers.

It's a form of mental disease, a self-induced delusional state brought on by wishful thinking and a false promise of great reward. Which you don't get until after you're dead HA HA HA HA WHAT A GREAT SCAM!

ON HEALTHCARE:

Much of the Religious Right is reflexively anti-Obama for hateful reasons reflecting their distortion of Christ's message from peace and love to hate and fear, as we all are seeing. They can be hit upside the head though and woken up at least briefly by asking them to tell you what they think Jesus might say if asked the following question. The question is a kind of mind virus for them but in a good way that exposure to will hopefully lead to them growing a conscience in time enough to make a difference. Online or offline when you encounter the typical hypocritical Christian, ask them what is THEIR OPINION of what Jesus would say if asked the following question -- and then watch them squirm.

"JESUS, DO YOU THINK THE RICHEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD SHOULD FIND A WAY TO PROVIDE HEALTH CARE TO EVERYONE, OR SHOULD IT JUST REMAIN THAT SOME PEOPLE HAVE TO SUFFER WITHOUT, LIKE WOUNDED ANIMALS IN THE WOODS?"
