Zero is the secondary charector of Megaman X. In the first game he sacrafices himself so that X can stop Vile. It's then in the second game that Zero was brought back to life, by Dr. Cain if you get the parts and by Sigma if you don't. He later stopped Sigma but, when Sigma blew himself up, it took Zero with him. Then later X stops a nightmare like Zero. After he stops Nightmare Zero he finds that Zero was alive and had to repare himself before he came out of hiding.

Later in the three games X4, X5, and X6 strange things happen to Zero. In X4 he has a dream about an old man that says his job isn't done and that Zero has to kill somone, but never says who. Then, when Zero wakes up, we discover he's had that dream before. Later in the next game, X5, Sigma tells Zero about an old man he met. Plus how the old man knows alot about Zero, and seems like he's Zero creator. But Zero refuses to belive it because, according to what Sigma said, this man was evil. After all that happened, in X6, there was a reploid named Isoc who seemed like he was that man who came back to life as a reploid. But Isoc ended up dieing towards the end of the game.
