Just got this movie. It was beautiful and I enjoyed the animation but was so disappointed in the story and writing. There was so much forced whimsy, the dialogue wasn't convincing, the sentimental bits didn't feel sincere, and The Cat Herder and Moka's motivation make no sense to me.

This would have made a nice short, I'd love to see it properly animated and voiced. I'm glad they didn't include it in the final movie though, it's much too long and doesn't add much to the main plot.
