The Withering Wings of Life
Once, centuries ago, when magic still existed, war consumed the land. On these lands stood two strong clans bent on the others destruction. This war was on its last years, and upon this year will mark the end of an old conflict to make way for a new. The name of the two clans was Arc and Welden. The leader of the Arc clan was Malthinae and Zylsar was Weldens leader. Malthinae had one son and his name was Zephir. Zylsar had a son. The sons name was Seth. Zylsars army was composed of 2500 men along with Zelyous. Zelyous was a very powerful and respected sorcerer. The fact that he was a sorcerer was hidden because forbidden practices were seen as evil. He was also Zylsars best friend. Zelious had a son and a daughter as well. Though the Arc army was feared by most of the land, but it was not for theyre numbers. For it was for their strength and skill. Theyre army was composed of Malthinae, Zephir and 1200 men. The Arc army was suffering defeat after defeat by the hands of the Weldens. They were in grave danger of losing this war. This war was going on for so many years no one knew how or why it started, but they know it most end. Malthinae, knowing the circumstances, ordered the kidnapping of an important person. This person happened to be Zelyouss daughter. When he found out this had happened he was furious. He asked Zylsar to order a rescue party to look for her., but Zylsar refused his plea because at this point of the war they couldnt spare men, for tomorrow was the final assault. Later, he found out that his daughters body was found nearby in town. Blind in rage he cursed revenge for the Lords betrayal. People watched as he preformed magic and said kill him kill the evil one! He used the magic, in a panic, to save himself and disappeared. He retreated into the forest. He remembered he forgot his son. However, by the time he got there he found his house burned to the ground and his sons dead corpse hanging from a pole where the house once stood. That was all he needed to wreak his revenge. He went to Zylsars room and placed his curse upon him. He cursed Child born of royal blood turn to ruin and bind this soul to your earthly bonds and forever show your true self. He bonded a spirit to him that transformed him into a wolf when certain conditions are meant. By this, showing the world what he had done. Then, he went to the Arc clan and appeared before Malthinae. He said you, you are the one who dare spill virgin blood for your own selfish ends! You shall pay for your sins of the past and sins you have yet to commit. Therefore, Malthinae Arc, one of death, come and quench your thrust! Let these worldly bonds bind your unrelenting soul to this unparting pit of hell you beast of bedlam!As his son watched in horror as to what had happened, he fled in fear for his own life. Zylsar fled to the forest for his own people exiled him for he couldnt stop killing day or night. Malthinae remain as the Arc Lord for no one knew of the event that took place that night. For all it was to them was a pretty light that had no meaning. The exiled wolf took on the name Witherfang, as the Great Zylsar, hero of the Carta war, faded into the darkness. Malthinae, the cursed Lord found Witherfangs existence and attacked him only shrouded in the cloudy blanket of the nights darkness. For, no matter how many cursed warriors he brings with him he cant kill Witherfang. For his army of wolves kept on coming. This endless war shall continue until the end of time shackled by the invisible bond of fate chained forever. Zelyous, however, was never seen again.
