For those who didn't read the message on my video:
What the fuck?! You guys still care about this shit? OK, here's the thing. The Wii isn't a good console. Why? Lack of great games. That's right, games, not this graphics and gimmicks bullshit, but games. Back when I made this video, the Wii had it's best games either out or coming soon. Since then the Wii has failed to deliver
OK, let's look at last year, the library started out well with Brawl and Mario Kart (I'm only including Wii exclusives here, since Nintendo fans think the Wii offers good gameplay opposed to the other 2). 2good games, but here is the problem, throughout the WHOLE of 2008 the Wii didn't offer any good games except for those 2. It didn't offer anything you couldn't find on a 360 or PS3. Supposedly a console that has the best gameplay offers only 2 games worth playing for the whole year.
Let's look at 2008 for the PS3 and 360 there was GTA IV, Fallout 3, Dead Space, Far Cry 2, Burnout Paradise
For the PS3 there was LBP, MGS4 and Resistance 2
For the 360 there was Gears of War 2, Left4Dead and Fable 2
And I chose those games merely on gameplay, the amazing graphics you get in MGS4 andGoW2, etc. is just a bonus. See what I'm getting at? Long ago the Wii had the gameplay edge. Not anymore.
How about the present day and the near future? Well for the Wii we have The Conduit, Madworld and possibly Monster Hunter 3 (If it makes it passed Japan). That's it for now. Hard to look at when you have Street Fighter 4, Killzone 2, Resident Evil 5 and Prototype, Infamous, Halo Wars, Uncharted 2, God of War 3, LA Noire, MAG and Bioshock 2 to come. (360 aint looking fantastic this year but its been out the longest so it has an excuse, the Wii has no excuse)
I'm going to be honest, the Wii has flattened out everything in sales, but not for the right reasons, it has not had the best games just the best marketing plan and the lowest price. To be truthful, the Wii has already lost in terms of game quality. Gameplay cannot be used in an argument for the Wii anymore if so anyone can easily point out the games I listed or point out the 1000s of crap that comes out for it yearly.
It was my mistake bringing out a video like this in a time when the Wii was doing well, and there was a time when I accepted that the Wii was good, but now I look at the Wii and see there isn't enough to it, it never really excels. Developers struggle to make good games for it, and the amount of decent games that come out for it is incomparable to the PS3 or 360 alone. The things I am saying now have nothing to do with fanboyism, this is pure honesty. The Wii is not good anymore.
