The 4 types of Greece government
The four types of government in Greece are oligarchy, tyranny, democracy and monarchy. The reason for this is because Greece has many city-states and they each had their own government. Aristotle divided governments into the 4 sections, Oligarchy, Tyranny, Democracy and monarchy. At first the government in ancient Greece had monarchies, then oligarchies then tyrannies then democracies. In the late Bronze Age, most city-states were monarchies. After the Dark Age, only a few Greek city-states had kings. Most Oligarchy city-states are in the Archaic Period. In 510 B.C, Athens created the first democratic government.
