ABOUT ZAVOLOKA
Zavoloka is an artist name for Kateryna Zavoloka, experimental music composer, sound artist, performer and graphic designer from Kyiv city, Ukraine. Zavoloka's main interest is to present Ukrainian ancient culture through digital music and contemporary art. She explores digital and analogue synthesis and her music consist of intensive varied sound motions and unexpected combinations piped into carefully controlled electronic flows.

Together with being involved in numerous international cross-genre projects Zavoloka collaborates with:
visual artist Laetitia Morais (PT), sound artists: Kotra (UA), Mark Clifford (from Seefeel, UK), AGF (DE) and others.

In 2005 Zavoloka's album was awarded as Honorary Mention in Digital Music category by Prix Ars Electronica.

Along with massive sound experiments and regular festival appearances around the world Zavoloka takes care for all visual part of Ukrainian label Kvitnu, which in 2011 was awarded by Qwartz Electronic Music Awards 7 in three nominations.
