Zae Savant was born in Meridian, MS February 12, 1983. He spent his early childhood moving around as a military child. During his childhood he lived primarily between New Orleans, LA and Fayetteville, NC. You will often times here him giving credit to both cities as his hometown. His love for music began at an early age as his mother always had a passion for Gospel and R&B music. At the age of 7 he remembers getting his first Rap Album "Sex Packets" by Digital Underground from his cousin. Immediately Zae Savant was drawn into the beats, the chorus (The Humpty Dance), and most importantly the lyrics. From this point on the name Zae Savant was synonymous for HipHop. One of the most defining moments in his love for Hip Hop was when his Mother told him if he wanted to list to rap music especially if it had vulgar language then he had to be able to explain to his mother what the song was about. From this point on Lyrics were his thing. In his high school years Zae Savant like many of his peers grew to have an appreciation for free styling and listening to Mixtapes. Throughout high school Zaus Savant honed his listening skills to understanding great lyrics and true hip hop. Zae Savant credits his Post Secondary Hip Hop education to being around the likes of Super Producer 9th Wonder, Christopher "Play" Martin, Little Brother,Thomas Robinson, Jahn Q Publaq,Table Scraps crew Khalid Salaam, DjLove, and GB. Also Ricky Shabazz, The Jam Poet, iQue, Dandro, and many more people who are close to the music industry.
When asked about his feelings regarding Hip Hop in 2011 Zae Savant stated "Hip Hop is similar to religion.... Different people believe in different things and there is no right or wrong... But the major similarity is that people stray away from what they personally know to be true and right.... But eventually they know where to go when things get hard and if they are searching for the foundation then they where to come home. Hip Hop can never die."
hilarious wasnt it this was after yall passed
