But if no one pays, then if health system is free the system will explode because of the growth in population by 2020. On the other hand, I think you are mistaken because Obama wants EVERYBODY to contribute to the system of healthcare and not only the majority of the common people with low to medium salaries like the republicans want. It is the republicans who defend the lobbies of an increase in paying that you´ve said and the great companies and not Obama. Swisszerland is a reach and well organized country without a big budget to defence and people pay for a health system if they want to obtain residence there because EVERYBODY needs to contribute to the system and to the country and not only a few like republicans defend. America have a great debt and is on crises and people cannot have everything (defence, health, education etc) because there is no money!
