- Le'Roy Hinton stagename " C.H.I. " ( $hy ) was born on June 13th , 1993 at Jackson Park Hospital on the Eastside of Chicago . C.H.I. was raised on the Southside of Chicago where he attended John G. Shedd Elementary from kindergarten to 6th grade then he moved on to St.Sabina Catholic School where he started to play basketball . In C.H.I.'s elementary school years he earned a certificate of merit & multiple young authors awards for writing entertaining & interesting storybooks but , having so much of a passion for sports C.H.I. didnt realize that he was blessed with a powerful writing ability . After leaving St.Sabina , C.H.I. attended John W. Cook Middle School where he then graduated at the age of 13 . C.H.I. had been writing since the age of 10 but , didnt expose most of his music until he recorded his 1st song when he was 11 . The song name was " Makin Money In The Hood " & everyone that was close to him in his neighborhood gave him love & support . After graduating C.H.I. attended Hyde Park Career Academy on the Eastside of Chicago . In his freshman year he recorded at Cold City Recording Studios & worked with engineer Joe Blow & he also participated in a contest for the introduction for Tone & Shag's radio show of Chicago's famous radio station Power 92.3. Unfortunately , C.H.I. didn't win & Chicago artist "Twista" opened up the new introduction song . Losing this contest motivated C.H.I. to do better & record every song like it was his last with all perfection . The streets of Chicago began to become very violent & strongly gang affiliated & that summer of 2007 C.H.I.'s Mother decided it was time for them to move to Atlanta, Ga to get away from the violence & help her Son C.H.I. pursue his music career . C.H.I. then attended school at Central Gwinnett in Lawrenceville , Ga . In May of 2008 he worked with a local promoter named Michael Walton & a engineer/producer that attended The Art Institute Of Atlanta named Victorious . He recorded three songs that summer named "We Fly" , "Jock My Shoe Game" , & "Put You Where Da Money At" . Though alot of people supported him & said they liked his music , C.H.I. didn't feel the same , he knew he could do better . Over the summer C.H.I. didn't record much & he stopped working with Michael Walton . C.H.I. continued to write his music more & more everyday . After attending Central Gwinnett C.H.I. attended Alpharetta High School in Alpharetta, Ga . C.H.I. started to become more confident with his lyrics & started to rap outloud around friends & others . Moving around alot made C.H.I. more socialable & gregarious , he made friends with a numerous amount of people in Georgia . He moved once again & attended Norcross High School in Norcross, Ga . On to the winter of 2010 he recorded at Patchwerk Recording Studios in Atlanta, Ga , home of many famous successful music artist . C.H.I. wanted to try something different & he wanted to record some clean radio/club songs & he did just that . He worked with Grammy nominated music engineer Mike Wilson that had won a award for engineering Beyonce's "Crazy In Love" Album & many other successful projects . C.H.I. recorded two singles "Celebratin" & "Bring It Back" & hooked back up with Producer Victorious to do the beats of the two tracks . C.H.I.'s Mother saw the love he had for his music so , she put her heart & hardwork into his music with him & got C.H.I. over 100 copies of his CD made . C.H.I. sold & gave out the CD's at his school, at the mall, & local events that him & his friends attended . C.H.I. felt very confident about his two new singles & got good feedback from everyone . C.H.I. continued to make more music at his friend's house studio & recorded underground songs for his "Travie Meets World" Mixtape . He then put all his previously recorded songs on his FaceBook page & got more & more positive feedback from his friends in the Georgia area & even friends back home in Chicago & people from other states that he had never even been . C.H.I. became a more proficient recording artist & liked everything done at perfection . Recently , in the winter of 2009 C.H.I. auditioned for "The Showtime At The Apollo" & it was his 1st performance though he didn't make it performing his old song "Jock My Shoe Game he kept on practicing . The summer of 2010 C.H.I. was chosen to perform at the Mellow Mushroom restaurant for National Talent Search Atlanta & albeit being his 2nd performance ever he had improved since his 1st one .

C.H.I. is still recording & performing & is currently residing in Atlanta, Ga.
