One charismatic, charming emcee has already made a name for himself with the successful single, Look Like Money. Yung Ralphs motivating track with an ever catchy hook was not only a club banger but also a popular ring tone and iPod favorite that became a national hit.
The main thing I have to get across, says Yung Ralph. Its about more than just one hit single. Look Like Money, and About A Chick were great songs and I appreciate all of the doors that have been opened. But I have much more to offer this industry.
Raphael Thomas story begins on Cleveland Avenue and Jonesboro Road in Atlanta. His family didnt have much in the way of material things, but there was a lot of love and respect.
I watched my mom work really hard, says Yung Ralph. She took good care of us. But of course, I always wanted more.
Yung Ralphs neighborhood was a rough one. And as a young man, he learned a lot just by watching the world outside his window.
I saw a lot of folks get locked up. But I was still intrigued by what I saw in the streets, he explains. My mom would go to work and Im sneaking out to see whats going on. As much as there was drama in my hood, we stuck together too.
Affectionately called Mr. Juuglanta, his undeniable talent is only part of what contributes to his successes, but his street credibility and respect from his peers take him to new heights in the hood, and in the hip hop community at large.
In high school, Yung Ralph had one foot in the streets and one foot in his books. He graduated from high school but freely admits that education wasnt always his top priority.
