They are two of a select few Realtors in the history of our association who have been inducted into the Association's Hall of Fame. Jim Thompson has served the Oconee/Sinclair Area as a Licensed Realtor, Broker of his own agency, a Georgia Licensed Appraiser, and a pioneer on lakes Oconee and Sinclair. Jim holds a Bachelor's degree in Forest Resources and a Masters in Forest Recreation from the University of Georgia--and he reminds everyone that this is Bulldog Country! An avid deer hunter and a NASCAR race fan, he enjoys the out-of-doors and is the perfect guy to find just the right property for you. While teaching school and selling on Lake Sinclair from 1978, Jim became a full time Realtor in 1980 and sold his first lot on Lake Oconee in 1982. A charter member of the Lake Oconee Realty Association, Jim was one of the first fulltime Realtors on Oconee as the broker of his own company, Lakeside Realty Company. He has seen incredible growth and development in the area, and has been a part of much of that growth.

After moving from Florida to Georgia in the sixties to attend Agnes Scott College, Mary Lenett made a permanent home here. In 1988 Mary and her family found Georgia's Best Kept Secret, FABULOUS LAKE OCONEE. That trip began a torrid affair which has never cooled and it became and continues to be home. Mary was a principal and Associate Broker at Century 21 Charter Realty from 1989 to 1997. Mary has served as the president of the Lake Country Board of REALTORS, was chosen as REALTOR of the year twice, and has served as a member of almost every committee in the Board.

In 1994 Jim joined Century 21Charter Realty as an associate broker and shortly thereafter he and Mary began working together as a team to better serve their clients. In 1997 Mary and her partner sold their company to Coldwell Banker Lake Oconee Realty where she and Jim remained as Associate Brokers.

Since then they have been recognized as Your Lake Country Real Estate Team.
