David Youngman

David Youngman is a creative young fingerstyle guitarist from Michigan. With the guitar as his orchestra he puts thoughts and feelings to music. Youngman uses various techniques on the guitar such as drumming, tapping, harmonics, and looping in order to create the sounds he hears in his head.

Youngman, besides having a God given talent for music, has studied and pursued music for most of his life. He has a degree in Music Performance as well as years of private study in Classical Guitar and the Alexander Technique. After performing with various rock, jazz, and experimental groups David was led to doing solo music and has found his true voice as a musician.

The guitarists influences include Bela Fleck, Pat Metheny, Pierre Bensusan, Tommy Emmanuel, Andy McKee, Antoine Dufour, Rene Izquierdo, David Russell, Switchfoot, Miles Davis, Dave Holland, Michael Hedges, Turtle Island String Quartet, Leo Kottke, Michael Gulezian, Chris Thile, Chris Potter, and many more.
