The definition of a Captain is one who commands, leads, and guides others. Consisting of charisma, knowledge, and integrity Chris Miller aka Tha Captin was born September 2, 1989 to do a task. Showcase the world his talents versatility and skills. Along with a unmatched hard work ethnic this young CEO has managed to launch his own Entertainment Company called Goonie Squad Ent. set to take the entertainment industry by storm. Besides the ill word play and rhymes Tha Captin has a stinch for Videography and Editing, giving him control of his own visuals. Born and raised in Johnson City, TN to Melisa Miller she knew that her son had a gift. In seek of better living conditions his single mother moved him and his little brother to Nashville, TN his Sophomore year into high school. Eager to get back to his hometown, Chris moved out of his mothers home the summer after finishing his Junior year and set out to make it on his own. In Johnson City by himself he had to find a way to survive. His hustlers mentality landed him into a new game and a hustle and bustle lifestyle in the streets. He was given his nickname as "Tha Captin" during his Senior year when TSSAA didn't grant him athletic eligibility to participate in any sports programs his final year. While sitting on the sidelines unable to play, Chris still held his head high and cheered on his team mates as they proceeded to live out their dreams through athletics. He felt God had put him off to the side for a reason and began freestyling his life journey to people around the neighborhood. Immediately noticing his lyrical talent and verbal presence they encouraged him to write a anthem for the football team, and in doing so landed Tha Captin's first performance in front of the entire Science Hill High School. Though his performance was a success and shined light to a new path his life was a little chaotic at the time for him to peruse a career rapping. He continued his life in the streets and going to school graduating with a 3.4 GPA. Insisting on getting out of his position and get his life together Chris took his journey down another path and decided to go to college at Middle Tennessee State University. Studying TV and Radio Broadcasting he graduated in 4 years with a degree in Mass Communications Bachelor of Science. During the past year he has been seriously engaged with music career releasing several mixtures back to back on top of numerous self produced music videos. While in the mist of making all the moves, Tha Captin manages his own college radio show called "Goonie Squad Radio", which gives independent artist a chance to get their music heard. No consistent grind goes recognized and Tha Captin is more determined than ever to be successful and have his G$E brand get the respect it deserves.
