riculum Courses First
Many students want to get all the Core courses "out of the way." This is especially true for
students in academic difficulty. They want to play it safe and be assured that everything they take
is required. They are hesitant to take courses in a potential major or to take electives of
interest to them.

Reasons why students do poorly in their academics:

-Some new students find the transition from high school or another college overwhelming and are unable to concentrate on their studies.

 Some students have never developed good study habits.

-Some students do not want to be in college and are allowing themselves (either consciously or subconsciously) to fail.

Well evil...it seems data shows my 1 rep max bicep curl was not the best method.

Intensity (% of 1RepMax) don't matter,
Volume (rep x set x weight) matters.

Do forced reps (go to failure and "beyond-DR. POMPA") = increase growth hormone.
Go to failure = lower growth hormone, increase endurance
Do bigger Volume (set x rep x weight)
Concentric = more muscle damage
Eccentric = teach muscle to store energy from eccentric & use it on concentric = up efficient (ex. running)
Short Rest bt/w sets? can't tell...research = only 2-6 minutes...

Forced vs Max. Rep: Forced rep = higher growth hormone the more experienced a weight lifter/person.

Compound vs Isolation: (multi-joint exercises), are high in volume(more weight ex. bench > bicep curl), and moderate to high intensity, tend to produce the greatest hormonal elevations for optimal muscular fitness benefits

Intensity = reps x sets x weight : 4 x sets = higher hormone level than 2 x set in the following: 10 reps at 75% of 1RM, 3-min rest 15 reps at 60% of 1RM, 1-min rest
There was no increase in exercise: 5 reps at 88% of 1RM, 3-min rest

135 lb x 10 rep = 1350 ...increased max
185 lb x 5 rep = 925 ....no increase

Bench increase because of push up 10 reps x infinite sets = HIGH INTENSITY!!!

275 lb x 3 rep = 825 slow gain (275 max - 295lb max)
225 lb x 5 rep = 1125 medium gain (295 max - 315lb max) more total = more gain
135 lb x 10 rep =1350 faster gain (...never got to see results)
