In September of this year my daughter was diagnosed with the blood disorder, Severe Aplastic Anaemia, which basically means her bone marrow isnt producing sufficient red and white blood cells and blood platelets. Since the diagnosis she has had numerous blood and platelet transfusions

I cant thank the Doctors Nurses and staff at the Sydney Childrens Hospital enough and I am also eternally grateful to everyone who donates blood as it is these donations that are keeping my little girl alive.

I urge everyone thats able to donate blood and also join the bone marrow register as these contributions not only saves lives they save the lives of children

The military has blood donations vans round base every month or so. Always make my way to donate, i have plenty to give. Your family will be in my prayers.

Hang in there, if any doctors can help your daughter it is our Aussie doctors. I wish I could give blood and yes I am on the bone marrow register. Its the least us dumb arsed teachers and security guards can do. Take time out if you need to so we can have those great Aussie humour vids continue.
