The YWCA Mohawk Valley is interested in advocating for positive social change that will result in peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all people. We work to do this through both public policy advocacy and social services.
The YWCA Mohawk Valley provides the following programs and services: - Emergency Shelter for Victims of Domestic Violence - 24-Hotline for victims of domestic and/or sexual violence - Children's Centers in the Oneida County Courthouses - Child Advocacy Center of Herkimer County - Transitional Housing and Programming for domestic violence survivors - Non-traditional career exploration and leadership training for girls ages 6-18 - A home for homeless and runaway teenage girls - Racial Justice programming - Community Violence Prevention Education - Active Public Policy advocacy
