ok, ok... has anyone ever considered that you can always cripple the sound of a "real" amp to match the modeler rather than try to make the modeler sound like a perfectly set real amp? I love Zoom, but this proves absolutely NOTHING.

@Rokket well, that'd be a nice excuse for singing it differently. but most definitely the truth is: he CANNOT sing it anymore they way we're used to hear it. It's obvious that his vocal abilities have degraded a lot. Check out the acoustic version of "You Really Got Me" - it's sad.

@spicyMcHAGGIS9green no. not necessarily. most tube amps are liked more (to omit the higly subjective "are better") than most solid state amps. But the tubes aren't the single most important factor that makes the difference.

nice. like the voice. some intonation-problems here and there but overall a good job. guitarist should be more relaxed in the "solo"... he obviously pulls away.

apart from that, it's nice to see someone who can play and knows what he's doing (and isn't paid by marshall) using an MG. it's kind of cool ...

well yeah, brian DID play it higher up the neck / on lower strings... but I think with your average guitar and amp, the sound is much closer to the original when you play it like this guy. it all depends on what you're after. maybe there's a guy playing it on the "right" strings... and then kids ...

well, i've seen worse. stop bashing the drummer. he isn't bad at all - very tight except for the outro maybe. it's not his fault when the other ones aren't able to count to four even when the drummer is giving them a steady beat.

@YTOnceAgain that said, I liked the basic idea of your video. dimming the treble, pushing the mids a bit and stay modest on the gain are good starting points. just the references to tube amps aren't all correct and even digress into stereotypes, myths and semi-truths. Awesome! The high screeches had a certain Brian Johnson quality - which isn't a bad thing. I'd say your reasonably close to "the real thing", but most of all I really like your voice... only the "yeaaaaaahhh" into the guitar-solo was completely off. :-)

@godinvelocity the point is, if he played it right, more people would realize that the tone is far away from U2 - which isn't a problem to me... but then they would have to say "the nova system has some nice delays" (wow... no cheap mfx can do THAT) instead of "this does classic U2 sounds".

where's the high end? sounds veeeeery muffled. With a bit of treble it might be a nice sound but far away from VH.

@Dunmer8642 maybe because guitarkidification is into modern metal sounds and the new MG doesn't really deliver these.

I for one think that the new MGs are great sounding and very versatile amps for classic rock tones.
