YERT (Your Environmental Road Trip) is a year-long eco-expedition through all 50 United States to explore and personalize environmental sustainability in a fun, innovative way. Traveling over 43,000 miles from July 4, 2007 to July 4, 2008, Mark Dixon, Ben Evans, and Julie Evans filmed interviews with over 800 people from all walks of life, including scientists, business owners, professors, politicians, activists, and average citizens. After a year on the road (starting and ending in Pittsburgh, PA at the Rachel Carson Homestead), they finished the journey with over 40 completed short films, 1500 photos, countless blog entries, and over 500 hours of high-definition footage.
