This is Dada Burman's melody of the 50s. Beautiful lyric by Kaifi Azami and superb rendition by Lata.Unlike his usual Bangla Sangeet style SD Burman tuned this song in a different way to match the existing style (slow and sad) of that period .Rest is History.

What a melodius duet song! I've noticed that whenever a discussion comes up regarding a good song most listeners give credit to the singers I think this is not fair. I would give more credit to the composer because he is the one who tunes the song and guides the singer or singers to sing accordi...

I think Mukesh Sahib's debut film was Nirdosh in which he acted as hero opposite Nalini Jayvant. The song dil hi bujha hua hai to kya reminds us the style of legendary singer Sehgal Sahib. Hats off Mukesh.

Beautiful romantic song in the voice of Mohammed Rafi and Suman Kalyanpur. SAHIR ke likkhe bol me suroor hai, Khayyam ki mausiqui me jaadu hai , jazbaat se bhar pur Suman Kalyanpur ki aawaz hai aur Rafi Sahib ka kya kehne apni misal aap hain. All four deserve credit for this unforgettable song...

I don't think that this is SD Burman's style. Infact this is 100% Shanker Jaikishani melody.

All the songs from film BADAL were hits.for the purpose of refreshing our memories I would

like to mention these two songs:

"Do Din Ke liye Mehman Yahan Maalum Nahi Munzil Hai Kahan" sung by Lata Mangesh...

Superb performance by both Anand and Sandhya. I think no one can sing Kisore Kumar's (old) serious songs better than Anand. I would like to hear one of Kishore Kumar's old songs of the golden period in Anand's voice.

Great composer of the golden era. Nashad composed memorable songs in India.His best performance was in old Indian Film Baradari. He moved to Pakistan in the early 60s. For the interest of music lovers will somebody upload his popular numbers from Pakistani films ?.

This song belongs to the melodies of the 40's. Beautiful singing by Mukesh Sahib so early in his career with 100% sehgal Sahib's style. Very nice tuning and orchestration by ace composer Bulo C. Rani ji. Alas! He was one of the most under rated artists of Indian film industry.
