Your assembly is pretty much the way I remember it with mine. The plastic thumb screws for the nylon bar are a pain to get started, which is why I just loosen and never completely remove them. I still have my nylon nuts for the motherboard. :-)

Love my tech station. I always do new PC builds on it first, installing the OS etc. on the hard drives prior to installing the parts in the case. This allows me to be sure all parts work before I've installed it in the case since it can be a pain removing a part that you discover came broken.

Should have ordered it with an SSD. Those 5400 RPM Crap drives suck booting up wiht all the crapware an OEM instlal has. Your 6 year old laptop is obviously not an OEM install.
