@alnilam66, Its funny, cause it takes absolutely no time at all to simply wire up a transformer with a ballast and draw an arc. Like, half an hour, tops, if you're retarded.

@kevinharris1995 Those buzz cutters run from the same 50 / 60 Hz power as this transformer, lots mains-powered devices emit a bit of sound at the source frequency.

This is simply an ignition coil driven by an oscillating circuit. I don't see how its been tuned to a specific resonant frequency, in fact I don't see any evidence of resonance at any stage of the circuit. Also, a Tesla coil should be capable of producing capacitive discharges to the air itself, ...

Mmmmm, nerve damage. Just because you can hardly feel the streamers from a tesla coil doesn't mean they arent harming you. High frequency has just as many adverse effects as low frequency.

What about Tesla Coils with a rotary spark gap, hmm?
This one has a static spark gap I presume, thus it has no moving parts, thus Solid State.

Defense against alien invasion.
@lyrison Sounds great! I don't recommend purposely resonating an NST, they aren't designed to handle the voltage rise and internally short circuit very easily. This is the longest I ever resonated this NST, and I was very nervous it was going to die, haha!
Happy arcing, and be safe!
