I am a pro-life, post-abortive woman. I am a victim of forced abortion. When I was 18, my mother forced me to have an abortion against my will. Abortion for me was not a choice, but an ultimatum. I had just graduated from high school, had just started college on an academic scholarship, and was still very much financially dependent on my parents, like the vast majority of 18 year old's. I was told to "Get an abortion or you'll be kicked out of the house and/or beaten within an inch of your life." I wanted to have my baby and place him or her for adoption in a Christian home through an open adoption. My mother, however, had other plans. And even though, legally, I was an adult, I was intimidated and very afraid of my mother. I had grown up in a very abusive situation. At that time, I did not know who else I could turn to for help. So on September 25, 1982, because I felt I had "no choice," I submitted to an abortion I did not want.

Unfortunately,because of the "rhetoric of choice," it is assumed that every woman who walks into an abortion clinic, wants to be there. This is not true! And unfortunately, it seems to me that the issue of "coerced/forced abortion" is an issue that the "pro-choice" movement chooses to ignore. To me, choice implies more than one option and if one is truly "pro-choice," one cannot support Coerced/Forced Abortion.
My hope is to educate as many people as I can about the widespread problem of Coerced/Forced Abortion in America. I am not alone. There are many girls/women like me. David Reardon of the Elliot Institute did a study and found that 64% of women were pressured, coerced or forced to get an abortion. That's over 50%! Most of these girls/women are being coerced/forced to abort by their parents, husbands, boyfriends, etc. I believe that if the pro-life movement could get laws passed against Coerced/Forced Abortion in every state or on a national level, the abortion rate would drop significantly. I am urging every pro-life leader out there to fight to get laws passed against Coerced/Forced Abortion in America. China is not the only place where forced abortions take place. It happens everyday here in America too, and it needs to stop!
I hope and pray that one day civil rights will be restored for the unborn, but I am realistic and I have very little hope that this will happen in our current world. I do believe, however, that we could significantly reduce the abortion rate, right now, with the passage of laws against Coerced/Forced Abortion. Thus, saving many babies' lives and many girls/women from the pain and heartache of post-abortion trauma. Google the "Elliot Institute" and "Forced Abortion in America" to find out more.

@MrImmobile I appreciate the fact that you oppose forced abortion & I thank you for your comment on that. I do not, however, agree with you on your other comments & I will not allow them to be posted on my channel. I am pro-life & unashamedly so. I am pro-life in cases of rape & incest & I am pro-life even if the baby has a health problem. In my Christian worldview, it is God who is the author & finisher of life, not man. Man is not God. God is God. As for your invitation for me to explore atheism, I'm afraid I'll have to decline the offer. You see, God has shown me His reality. He changed my life & He healed my broken life & heart. My faith in Christ is based upon evidence: Historical, Archaeological, Prophetical, and Experiential evidence. My faith is an intelligent and rational faith. I KNOW why I believe & I KNOW in whom I have believed. 2 Tim. 2:12 & 2 Peter 1:16.
