How I record(for those that don't watch all my videos or read comments and still want to know...):
I use FRAPS for everything I record.
For sound I use the Windows 7 sound feature in FRAPS so that the game sound is recorded and so is my mic. I wear headphones while playing so the mic only picks up my voice.
I take the videos to movie maker and do some minor editing and then export it using settings that I found online for HD, making the video anywhere from 500 megs to 1.5 gigs.
There are a lot of ways to record games, this is just my way and it works for me.
