Alright, so I finally found the time to write something in here.
I was homeschooled until I was 13 years old, then went to High School (quasi-secondary school for you non-Americans) and then College (University). My parents are both highly involved with local theatre and are well educated on the subject. That, combined with my avid love for all things fictional, made me want to become a writer. When I went to College, I searched for very specific programs, and I only just recently graduated in May 2006 from SUNY Oswego with a degree in English Writing Arts.
"What's that" you ask? Essentially, it is creative writing. That's right, not only do I write sci-fi and fantasy in multiple forms for fun, I also have an official degree in it! Sadly, I have not published anything yet, but since I'm out of school I intend to write a lot more. I write short fiction, plays, and screenplays. My plays are the best so far, since my dialogue is excellent, but I'm currently working on a novel. Obviously, since I'm a writer, I also have great fun reading, except that I have a nasty habit of flicking ahead on impulse when an interesting part ends...I tend to want to find where that bit continues (someone make me stop doing this!) Of course I love my genres, so I've basically read nothing except Science-Fiction and Fantasy.
The written word only scratches the surface of my hobbies, though it has dominated my life course since about age eight. I am also into Roleplaying Games, both tabletop pen-and-paper and Live Action Roleplaying (LARP). I'm currently moonlighting as a Game Master, because no one had any open games for me to be a player in and I was thus forced to run some of my own. I like to use pre-existing settings, but my most recent game took place in a world I invented for a novel. I am, however, a lowly player in a medieval fantasy LARP which I throughly enjoy but pay for dearly in terms of dollars (making a costume is expensive). Video games also were a chief source of entertainment for me for most of my teenage years (mostly the RPG variety, though we must not exclude such excellent games as Halo), and I enjoy PC as well as console games. I now also have fun creating costumes and props for my LARP, and now know how to bind hardcover books because of it! As a general hobbie, I enjoy "creating" things, especially when it involves planing and thought. This is anything from maps for RPGs to my own new type of card games to desiging castles in a 3D world editor (anyone how has the PC version of Elder Scrolls III knows what I'm talking about)
Over the last two years, however, I have become hooked on making fan-made Music Vids. After being exposed to more then then the normal, mainstream Anime, my roommate introduced me to Anime Music Videos and I've been steadily creating them ever since, though I have a gift for making Live Action ones too. I currently have 8, but only 5 have been put up on this site so far (the others need be shrunk in filesize). I was eventually told about this site about a month ago and now love it.
That's most of the stuff about me. Other info can be found below. If you've read this far, you must really like getting to know people :)
