It pains me to see all of that work go into that car, only to have shitty woofers. The amps are great, but overkill. Should have gone with a different brand so they could afford to throw some real woofers in there.

Proper team name considering that those have a tendency to 'implode' on around 600w of true rms power.

@damthebadluk There is a misunderstanding of what a capacitor actually does going around here. Sure it might help slightly with voltage stablization, but it actually helps with sound clarity. Caps greatly diminish distortion within the audio frequencies.

Head on over to the PWK Designs website. Get yourself a REAL enclosure. Each design is tuned to your specific woofer(s) and your vehicle either for audible performance (sql) or for pure spl applications. But seriously. Why would you spend so much on those for a spl application? DD9500s, DDZs, Inc...

@yzf7steve Well an estimate would be around 700amps. 10,000w / 14v = 714 amps. But then you have to account for the efficiency of the amp. So if its say 70% efficient then your over 900 amps. But kicker recommends at least two 200amp alternators and like 8 batteries a piece.

@thepoposacomin Expensive starting system. Cheapest amp you could go with is a Hifonics HFI2000D and wire everything in parallel to a 1 ohm load. Since you're gonna be pulling about 140 amps with that, you're gonna need 0 gauge wiring, batteries (check out XS Power's 14.4 volt) and possibly a hig...

If I was operating in that price range I would have opted for the Power Bass S-104D for 10$ more.. Lanzar is pretty ehhh. And quit saying it has a lot of excursion. It doesn't. Looked like half an inch.. my DD2512 has over 3 inches. Thats a lot.

Did you actually sell it for $800? Because I could buy those woofers brand new, get a Hifonics 1500D, a wiring kit, pay someone to design the perfect enclosure for my vehicle, and build the box myself for $700...

@infinitiondubs I've never heard of a gain in dbs from inverting... Typically there is a small loss (down to 3db) if any.

@AwwesomePossumm Check out the Hifonics HFI1000 or a RE Audio DTS1000.1 both of these would work well with that subwoofer's coils wired in parallel down to 1 ohm.
