Although we officially began in 1983, Woodhaven has really been in existence since the day in 1963 that my father bought me, his eleven-year-old son, a router. Upon arriving home with my very own real live power tool, I immediately rushed to the basement and plugged it in. My delight soon turned to sheer terror when, as I squeezed the trigger, it jerked wildly! The first thing I decided to do was mount it in a table, hoping all the while that it wouldn't go off into some sub-space basement orbit. Well, it worked! In 1983 we opened a woodworking tool store, classroom and do-it- yourself shop. Of course, I had my trusty router table for people to use. Soon customers were wanting one for their own shops and we obliged by making a few. Now, all we do is manufacture and sell woodworking tools and accessories. We're always listening to our customers and trying to find out what other tools they would like to see us carry. Please feel free to contact us with your comments and suggestions.
