Women of Worship (WOW) is a liturgical dance company that is comprised of women that are members of different churches.
Our mission:
To worship God with the entire body through movement in order to praise Him with our whole selves, spread the word that we serve a live and vibrant God, lead God's people into worship and most importantly bring the lost to Christ. Each time we minister, we are reminded that "We dance for an audience of One", our Lord and Savior. We strive to usher in the Holy Spirit, to let God's presence come forth so all can be healed and delivered. We feel it is our charge to remind the world that by His blood, we all have the power to heal and as we go before the Lord, we must intercede on their behalf. Our focus is to "minister" the dance instead of "dancing" the dance".
Our ministry colors are purple which stand for royalty and intercession, mahogany brown which stand for warrior's heart -- praise in the mouth and sword in the hand (Psalm 149:3-7) and cream which stand for sweet aroma of praise/worship.
Our ministry is based on two scriptures:
Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts; praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let everything that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD. Psalm 150:3-6
I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. 1 Timothy 2
The Women of Worship have been ministering God's word for nine years. Many have come and gone, but God has always blessed the ministry with women who have a willingness to empty themselves so they can become full of the Lord; therefore, perfecting their praise and worship.
It is our prayer as we go forth in Jesus name; we become more like Him and worthy to go before the throne.
