I finally graduated from Art Institute of Pittsburgh and now finally I have more time to learn game maker. I paid for a site that will show you how to create 3D levels in game maker, and at first it was cool to see what you can do especially with your own creative sprites, but when I wanted to make changes I could not because of the preset scripts. I should have started with my own scripts from the very beginning. I truly understand what you mean about the drag and drop. Even after learning how to do just a little bit of coding, it is just too much freedom to have, and I was foolish to go the Drag and Drop route. So, my question is, Is there way to convert a 2D sprite into a 3D sprite? What is the best program that you use to create your game sprites? Also, I checked out your web stie and it is coming along nicely. Once again thank you for taking the time to teach us game maker.

Couple of your tutorials gave me some cool new tricks. Thanks for making these. Usually YouTube tutorials (well, most GML tutorials in any format, actually) are absolute shite, but yours are actually pretty decent and thorough. You do a good job of keeping it simple, sticking to the point, and demonstrating all of your steps; but you also excel at anticipating the sorts of crazy shit a noob would try and explaining why that stuff would never work. Keep up the good work. Bookmarking you for future reference.
