I am a self taught piano player. I started with a preparatory book (Twinkle Twinkle little star), my aunt's 4-octave super mini digital piano, a lot of determination to learn and so much love for music.
There were years when I did not have access to piano and did not have much chance to practice regularly. It was 2008 when I finally purchased a 76-key digital piano to be able to play some classical pieces. I can't strictly follow the scores, for I'm not trained in sight-reading, I don't know how to use sustain pedal properly and I know nothing about finger patterns in piano.I just can read the notes from the scores and I just play my way. :)
I learned the piano through practice and watching other piano players how they play. Learning anything is just a matter of strong will. No matter what the circumstances are, it's Possible. I wish I can give hope to those who have dreams to play the piano.
Other than piano, I play violin too, do charcoal drawing, and I study different languages. At the moment i'm working on my Japanese and Spanish and i'm hoping to find friends with whom I can learn more from.
