Mit der Neuausrichtung der Bundeswehr erfolgt ein erneuter Kahlschlag bei der Militärmusik, fünf Musikkorps werden aufgelöst. Darunter sind das Wehrbereichsmusikkorps III aus Erfurt, das Marinemusikkorps Nordsee Wilhelmshaven, das Luftwaffenmusikkorps 2 aus Karlsruhe, das Luftwaffenmusikkorps 1 aus Neubiberg und das Luftwaffenmusikkorps 4 aus Berlin.

With the reorganisation of the German federal armed forces we have a fresh disaster in the German military music. Five music corps disbanded completely, these include the military district III band from Erfurt, the navy band "North Sea" from Wilhelmshaven, the air force band no.2 from Karlsruhe, the air force band no.1 from Neubiberg and the air force band no.4 from Berlin.
