A fresh and lively ensemble, WindSync uses standard and contemporary chamber repertoire as a vehicle to explore new audiences and venues for classical music. The ensemble members encompass different backgrounds, coming from the United States, Portugal, and Canada. WindSync is comprised of Garrett Hudson (flute), Freddie Blood (oboe), Carlos Cordeiro (clarinet), Tracy Jacobson (bassoon) and Nick Wolny (horn).

In December 2009, WindSync was one of only two wind ensembles named a finalist in Astral Artists National Auditions. Recent performance engagements included a choreographed presentation of Prokofievs Peter and the Wolf, full recital programs at the Shepherd School of Music, and concerts for the Barnevelder Movement/Arts Complex, the Houston Jewish Community Center, Te's House of Tea in Montrose, Hope Stone Dance Studio, MD Andersen Childrens Hospital, and 'Arts for Autism'. Future projects include national competitions and international concert engagements in Portugal and Canada. Compelled to expand the woodwind quintet repertoire, WindSync has also commissioned Houston composer Garrett Schumann to write a Robin Hood musical drama, which the ensemble will premiere in Spring 2010.
