Leprous Soul
The man with the leprous soul laughed
At the sick cosmic joke and fatalistic philosophies he made about his inherent condition,
The only known cure for which was death.
The only way to the throne is to submit,
A proposition so abhorrent it made him spit.
No matter how low he'd go---
You couldn't deflate his ego to wedge him through the door,
But in pursuit of a dollar, you'd see that boy holler and gladly grovel upon the floor.
He blamed a God he didn't believe in
For not forcing him to comprehend what he refused to understand.
Just another proud, high-minded, puny, self-centered man...like the rest of us.
A legend in his own mind. So full of filth it crushed his spine...except when chasing dames, dimes, good times or online.
The horror of the foolish choice he made,
will only be fully known on Judgment Day.
O, to stand before an infinite, all-mighty God who knows the innermost hearts of men! Perfect in all his ways, infinitely loving, infinitely just.
We are ALL slaves. This they don't tell you while you while away your days in the system of this world, caught up in its trinkets and superficial thrills.
You are either a slave to Self, that horrible monster of injustice that suckers you every time. That tells you, "You must follow your lust! It is the only thing you can trust!" And leaves you in a pool of vomit or choking on the dust, every time the winding road it leads you down is haunted by the ghastly visage of yourself; the one addicted to lust and death.
You who slurp down the Turkish Delight of this world with a glutton's appetite, only to find out later, like the dog who lapped up the antifreeze-- that which is outwardly sweet is inwardly poison. That which tasted so good going down, now rots your innerds out. Left alone, even in a crowd, with a tortured soul and these good time "friends" who run from you like you've got the plague the second that your laughter lags.
Or you are a slave to the only perfect master that there is.
The only truly free man on the face of the earth is one who is a slave to a perfect master...and there is only ONE perfect Master, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. THE Way, THE Truth and THE Life, come to him in complete submission (trading all that you are not for all that he is) today!
Only then will you find rest for your soul. Only then will you know true love. Only then will you know what life is.

We have exchanged
quality for quantity
flowers for perfume
whole food for preserved poison
truth for contemporary reason
herbs for pills
love for infatuation and lust
children for careers
gold for paper
modesty for excess
substance for style
sustenance for gluttony
green for gray
oxygen for smog
the majestic starry skies for hazy light pollution
reality for symbolism
the sweat of our toil for the ease of our luxury
honesty for rationale
the land for enslavement
proverbs for jokes
story telling for movie watching
inspiration and genius for stale retread
community for isolation
neighborly help for insurance "coverage"
God's creation for our technology
the worship of Almighty God for the worship of science
Heavenly riches for earthly greed
hope for despair
and we wonder what went wrong
Or has it always been this way?
In as much as things change, they stay the same
There is nothing new under the sun
Fool yourselves, if you'd like, with your fads
But when you turn a flame-thrower to your plastic and your celluloid, they melt
You cut through all the cool cats' cheap facades
And find tormented little children huddled in a pit of despir
Humanity worships the few who find fleeting success like gods and goddesses
Calling them celebrities and fleshly deities--how sick!
Strip them of their titles, their money and possessions and see how glamourous they are!
You wonder why you feel hollow and long for better?
Pay attention to your soul

Ears to Hear
Against their touted scientifics
The smoking gun ballistics
Proved them false
Putting more faith in themselves
Than man ever did in God
Their souls were lost
Theories they so desperately wanted to be true,
Appealing to the go-getter, the trend-setter,
The proud, the strong, and the true-blue
Their job to convince the rest of us
That we are doing what is best for us
Rosy-rimmed views in a galaxy of blue
Viewed purely as entertainment
It was a success
A meal for the mind
Lacking the soul's substance
Large leaps of reason go unquestioned
When we're on the journey we predestined
The door of reason swings both ways
The sword is sharp on both sides of the blade
All I have is today
But still I choose to look on past the grave
Some try to build their heaven here on earth
Bought by all the blood spilled in the dirt
Those who've sold
Their eternal souls
Want desperately to be as gods
Because they know,
As the prophets foretold,
That otherwise they are lost

Thank you, there are many other questions that are also refutations of the kjvo position. I do not even believe that the KJV is superior, thats just in my opinion though.

Sal, I just wanted to write you a few lines to let you know that I will be writing you in the near future in reply to your comments to me.. My computer has been out and I am on a friend's at the moment. You are a KJV preference and I am a KJV only. I have the word of God, you don't. I would think that our buddies who talk to Jesus all the time hear from him bettter than you do since they have what they believe to be a final authority, you don't have one. When you disagree with the KJV, you just find another bible that suits your preference at that particular time. We will deal with slaves and servants, demons and devils. i WILL have the harder road to hold since I have one book that is the word of God and you can pick from hundreds to choose from to back up your beliefs in any given area
