WILL MERCENE was born and grown up in Gummersbach, but his roots are in the Philippines.

It is one of my favourite songs, because in that song Joe sings straight from my heart. It describes the main reason why people should make music. On one hand I want to open those peoples eyes, who are grown up very well. And on the other hand I want to make music to do something good for the world by helping the poor but we know, that not everything is possible!
When I was a small boy I loved to sing songs of great musicians like Frank Sinatra or The Jackson Five. But at the beginning of the 90s I heard my first Soul-Track and I knew that this is exactly my style. Groups like Shai, Boyz2Men but also solo artists like R. Kelly, Keith Sweat, Joe or Brian Mc Knight had great influence to my musical and personal development. From that moment on Black Music was in the centre of my musical career!
The most of his musical experiences he learned at the Gospel Choir. At the age of 14 Will was a member of a Vocal Harmony Group called Lose Control, he was the youngest but already the lead voice. With Lose Control he had some acts in different clubs all over the country and also on private parties. The only point that Will didnt like from the beginning was that Lose Control had no own songs, they only sang Cover tracks. Of course in that way it was impossible to express his own character or being creative. Then 3 years later, the group Lose Control split, and he had a big break from the musikbusiness. But after some time Will started writing songs again, because he made many different experiences and the only way to express his feelings was by singing and writing new songs.
In the year 2001 he got to know the producer Martin A., who has never left his side from that moment on. Years later he took part on the BECKS ON STAGE Music Competition 2004, where he had to sing his own version of Joe Cockers Hit Sail away.Will won the competition and had a gig on the SPLASH Festival in Chemnitz, the biggest Hip Hop and Raggae Festival in Europe. In the same year the producer and good friend of him Shawnodeze stepped into his life, who has produced his first demo-CD. In the year 2005 first met the members of the Hood Production Crew. For example the dancer and rapper DuanFro, DJ Dokker and Funky Pee.
Wills family has always been the most important part in his life. Much love to his mom, his kuyas, his darling and best friends, who have always been by his side. And especially thanks to his brother Kuya Moy, who has always supported him in anyway.
