@starrygemz She said in an interview she doesn't belt. That is her mix voice for the most part. Vocal training helps, and female vocal chords are fully developed by age 30. Kerry's around that age, so she's had time. You will have a stronger voice at that age too!

I honestly prefer her voice now. Here, it sounds like her tone is farther back in the throat on some of the vowels, and she sounds much older than she was. She had more reckless abandon back then and probably what seemed like my control, but now she sings so much healthier.

Her breathing is a little shallow, which leads the head voice to sound a little less full and less live. Also, the amazing world of reverb is just wonderful...haha.

She reminds me of Kendra Kassebaum's Glinda a bit. It's a lot more real than most, and she has that posh shallowness to her, but underneath, I sense a genuine caring.

@Dimaolerd1 She's 18, and her body's gone through a lot growing up. She's probably going to get skinny again. She's not done growing in terms of body shape!

With a bigger weapon, I almost guarantee Capriati would have lost that final. She also ran into Venus in her prime playing days in 2000, Capriati in...

I think he's made a wonderful musical theatre voice out of this training. Nessun Dorma is a song that needs a 30+ year old singer singing it, and that's what's lacking. And also, since he is a pop singer originally, he DOES need continual training before you get an opera sounding result.

Capra's got a mouth on her. I'm surprised you all didn't catch her swears in the middle of the video!

I don't know why everyone is complaining about her singing along when taping these shows are technically illegal, and they could have asked her to leave if she was caught.

This is so wonderful. I love Irina's skating when she's firing on all cylinders like this. This kind of music coupled with her beautiful jumping is just so good for her. I think her Tosca was too heavy, and she was skating too slow.

@Elphiesgreenfriend To you, perhaps. Anyway, Christine is awesome. Really, all the Elphabas that are on stage right now that I've at least heard (Rachel, Christine, Anne, Jackie, Donna, Willemijn) are all wonderful. I haven't heard any from Australia-Asia though recently.

@titanicfinatic Or people with perfect pitch. But how the camera picked it up, it's being played slower...which makes it sound out of key because you've slowed the sound waves.

@spunkysk8er1997 Don't you think that, for one second, that's what I meant by that? Here's looked very clean, and at the most there was maybe a 1/2. And Mao WAS downgraded by judges in the past on her triple axel.

Wow, you're very good! I hope you do what you want with skating in the future. You keep working, and you'll be a regular Irina Slutskaya out there, landing all those triples.

I think you would do such justice to On My Own.

Here, you have a little bit of Ruthie Henshall in your voice, but it's so entirely unique at the same time. Bravo!

@claireshana I said she could do MORE. I'm not taking away from what she did, but I'd like to see a little bit more. And I used to skate. So it's not exactly being an armchair critic.

@charizianne Whatever...it's not like I disagree. This was much better than Michelle's Scheherazade. Pretty much EVERYTHING is better than Michelle's Scheherazade...I've never been more bored, actually, and I LOVE Michelle with all my heart.
