Originally, the album and this song were called "Bleed American." As this album was released just a few months before September 11, 2001, subsequent releases of the album changed the album title to "Jimmy Eat World" and this song's title to "Salt Sweat Sugar" as to not offend people.

The best part is, in the movie, Sam Jackson has the gun in his pants. He literally pulls the gun out of his pants and puts it up to his head to say the line. Then, immediately afterwards, he puts the gun back in his pants. It's so goddam stupid but so goddam funny.

@KawaiiPoyo It's attitudes like that which are why our political system is broken. Joking around like this is all well and good, but you need to seriously look into each candidate and watch the debates to determin who you vote for.
