Despite all the #staged memes, harassment controversy, and e-sports drama, there still are good people in the fighting game community. Our condolences to Larry "ShinBlanka"'s family. Please support him and Final Round. Without incredible tournament organizers like him, volunteer staff, or even the players, events like this would not be possible.
We may be rough at times, but we're certainly capable of respect. Represent the FGC proud everyone.

"I really wish there are other ending cutscenes, because that one was relatively phony and it's kinda lame. #STAGED"

Wednesday Night Fights 02/29/12
Edit:
This has gotten a lot of attention and a lot of people seem to have missed the point. I'll address the two most common complaints with this video.
1. What they said isn't offensive/I don't find it offensive.
The main reason many people won't find this offensive personally is because they've never been sexually harassed. Chances are that if you're reading this, you're a male member of the fighting game community. Try to think from someone else's perspective.
Any female fighting game enthusiast has learned from the Cross Assault controversy that if she gets into the scene, she might be sexually harassed by creepers like Aris. She's also learned that if she is harassed, nothing will be done about it initially. If she then tunes into WNF she'll learn that the community doesn't really care about what happens to victims, because it's all a big joke to them.
A lot of women, even if they love fighting games would for good reason decide not to show up to events after watching stuff like this on a stream. An inclusive community makes for a larger community. A community that openly mocks a sexual harassment victim as EG.fLoE did near the end of this video makes for a smaller community. If you can honestly say that you don't want to see the community grow, then fine. Say whatever you want, shit on whoever you want. People who value decency and civility will stay away from your super secret misogyny club.
2. They were making fun of the situation or the media coverage, not sexual harassment as a topic.
First, you can't know that for certain. Maybe fLoE was targeting Miranda while ETR was riffing on the media coverage. Maybe Marn was joking about harassment as a topic, maybe he was satirizing Penny Arcade's coverage. Unless you are actually the one who said that stuff in that moment with a clear memory of what went on, you don't know.
Second, it doesn't matter what the intention is when the result is commentators going "You're sexually harassing me lol." That's not cool under any circumstance, and especially not in light of recent events.
Also, I do want to say that it sucks that ETR got banned. He didn't do much wrong, but he also didn't take a stand against the BS so I can sympathize with LevelUp's decision. I'm also a bit sad about his decision to step away from the FGC, but I understand it. Ultimately, if he wants to have a successful career outside of the FGC it's probably best for him to remove himself from the situation and the scene considering his face and his real name is attached.
I obviously know that the FGC doesn't have a racism problem, all you have to do to realize that is to look around at an event. The whole "Doug/yellow/asian" part was included for context leading into the "I'm uncomfortable/I don't like being here" comments by fLoE. I also don't really give a shit about them calling dibs on NOS girls. Maybe it's not the best content for the stream, but that product is clearly marketed with the intent of encouraging thoughts and comments like that. Once again, it was included to provide context for the "that might be sexual harassment" comments that were made.
