i completely agree with microgirl85. The waiter looking uniforms are horrific!!! if it wasn't for the bad economic situation with the current cc and csu system i would have dropped out of WCU already based of the new uniforms. Not only are they hideous but they are heavy and uncomfortable! They should've had a few design choices for the students to choose from so that they didn't neglect our feelings on the sudden change like they did. It would've been nice to include fellow students' input on uniform design.

I'm sorry, but the new uniforms are horrible. Nursing students are going to look like we belong in a Le Cordon Bleu program or waiters or maids. Strong CNLs (Clinical Nurse Leaders) have been against the traditional "hat" because it stereotyped nurses as "maids".... the new uniforms has just completely undermined our abilities to be respectable nurses. No one will take us professionally by first impressions. Truly disappointing and upsetting. We are paying so much and putting in too much time to better our career and the uniforms will cause an outrage and very unhappy, unwilling, and possibly dropping out students. The schools should really have some kind of student consensus prior to making big decisions.
