"The greatest source of ideas among men is their human interactions."

We are a group of people from around the world who have one thing in common: we are fighting for our lives against Eating Disorders. But we also know what it's like to win somedays too. We'd love to share and have you share with us

We are NOT professionals nor are we qualified to give out any medical advice. We are just here to spread the word of awareness and recovery is not only possible but beautiful also.
About Me:

Hey you guys :)

Welcome to the Werfreedomfighters ED Collab channel.
We are a group of people, with some important things in common. We are all in recovery from an Eating Disorder, we all want to fully recover, and we are all trying to share our journey in the hope in educating those out there who also struggle.
Please remember you are never alone and that the channel is open 24/7 - literally.
You can visit our website which has masses of information on ED's, you can also join our support forums to find comfort and friendship.
Go here: http://werfreedomfighters.w...

Each week we try to provide you with the answers that YOUR questions ask of us. We may not also give a clear answer, but we will do our best to respond in a way that helps you.

Break the silence, spread insight. Knowledge is power, and moreover it is power that sets us free at the expense of no one.

Remember EVERYONE that silence gives this mess its power. And at an expense that is beyond acceptable. The more we talk the more we overcome, achieve and ultimately are rewarded with what we deserve - peace of mind, of heart and of soul.

Hi.
I had a question regarding EDs and Hair. My hair has really thinned and fallen out a lot in the past few years of my bulimia. I am in recovery now. Does it get better?

Hi Freedom Fighters!

I asked a question a month or so ago, but this is really the only resource I have right now so I'm going to ask another one in case you have extra time =).

I've been anorexic for four years now but I haven't told my parents. On the one hand, I'm not dangerously thin (only about five pounds under my weight range) but on the other hand, I'm so depressed and anxious all the time, I'm in a really bad place mentally and I don't think I'm ever going to fully recover if I don't have support from my family because I'm really close with them otherwise. I'm terrified of telling them, though, and I keep telling myself that I don't need to, that nothing would come of it and that it would be a mistake. Is there anyone else who has experience with this or advice?

Thanks, and great job with the channel!!!

Hello all! I'm Diana McSheffrey and I'm 17 years old. I have 2 older brothers and a mom. We all live near Minneapolis, MN. I'm currently a freshman in college and would like to be a nurse in the future. I love to play soccer and travel. My ED started the summer before my sophmore year of high school. Within 2 months I was diagnosed as anorexic and sent to an inpatient treatment center--Melrose Institute formely EDI when I was there in St. Louis Park, MN. I've been symptom-free for acyear now and would like to stay that recovery is possible and no matter how far you are into your eating disorder it is never too late to start recovery. I believe everyone can recover and that's why I would like to join this collab channel. I can bring energy, experience, and many strategies to get your life back from Ana/Mia!Thanks for this opportunity.
