Emiko Uchiyama & Vladimir Petrov

The Wave Duo -- Emiko Uchiyama and Vladimir Petrov -- came into existence in the year 2007.

They had their debut at the International Marimba Duo Competition in Belgium, where they were awarded the first prize. They also secured themselves the audience prize, the prize for the best interpretation of a set--piece and were the recipients of the Keiko Abe prize.

They both took their first musical steps at the age of three. Meanwhile, they both look back on extensive musical careers in their respective home countries -- Japan and Bulgaria -- where they have been awarded numerous prizes at esteemed music competitions. Their musical activities have taken them to many major European cities as followed by concert engagements in the United States and Asia.
