In 2008, Michael Knouff sought to put together music that was challenging and enjoyable. Through the different reincarnations of the band, it has shared the stage with Metal bands like Whitechapel and popular indie bands like The Protomen, not scared to be the oddball group. The band doesn't care to play with people outside the genre as long as they have fun along the way. The riffs are brutal, the melodies pull at your heart strings, and the lyrics are powerful and honest. Waste and Regret is a breath of fresh air from traditional "breakdown music." The music is to be sought after and influential as well as fun while being intriguing. With varied influences stemming from different spectrums, Waste and Regret is a musical powerhouse that is top notch, brutally honest, and thought provoking.
