Copilǎria ? Nu sînt sigur cǎ a fost cea mai frumoasǎ perioadǎ a vieţii mele, dar a fost cu siguranţǎ cea mai curatǎ. Umblam toatǎ vara desculţ şi jucam cu ceilalţi cele mai nǎstruşnice jocuri: „ţurca", „de-a pitita", „purceaua", etc. sau, iarna, ne „dǎdeam" cu „hîrletele" sau cu „bob"-ul (cǎci sǎnii nu aveam).
Vultureşti ? Locul copilǎriei mele. Un sat plin de talente. Copii care picteazǎ „ca nimeni alţii" sub îndrumarea învǎţǎtorilor Ion Mǎrgescu (în anii '70-'80) şi Elena Mateescu (în prezent).
Anii copilǎriei ? Este cîntecul meu de suflet. L-am compus prin 1973 pe versurile unui poet poate prea puţin cunoscut: Vasile Zamfir - vǎr primar cu celebrul naist, Gheorghe Zamfir. Am înregistrat cîntecul în primavara anului 1974 şi a fost piesa mea de debut la Radio (într-o emisiune „Estrada duminicalǎ") şi apoi la Televiziune (într-o emisiune „Album duminical").
As fi putut posta acea înregistrare (debutul la TV), dar am preferat sǎ ilustrez cîntecul cu picturi ale copiilor din satul natal, picturi ce „ilustreazǎ" într-un chip mult mai fericit lumea copilǎriei mele.
