Discovered this band/song through a documentary on Carol Jerrems ('Girl in a Mirror'). Had never heard of either previously, but the music and images worked well together, despite being removed from each other by more than two decades.

My favourite Ulver track. I used to play this to piss off our drummer, but he was/is a prog rock nerd. I'd also impersonate that groan at 2:25 to wind him up.

Holy shit, blast from the past. I remember not 'getting' this stuff (i.e. death metal, and any bands that weren't Slayer or Metallica) as a young metalhead in the early 90s, but years later this sounds great, if not outright awesome. Not as mind-blowing as Atheist or Death, but still worth a listen.

I'm finally giving this a proper listen - some of it reminds me of Morbid Angel's 'Covenant', other parts sound like Demilich. Sounding like only one of those bands is high praise enough.

I find it hard to believe that an obvious Rhodes Scholar would go with a name like PiercedWeiner.

Scored an LP of this and Strong Arm of the Law (along with a bunch of others from Mercyful Fate, Anthrax, Loudness, etc.) from the dirt-cheap record bin at a flea market a few years back. It was a really good day.

Heard the Cerebral Fix cover of this before hearing the original. It's probably one of only two or three memorable songs off of 'Bastards.'

I got the catapult in 1990 for a few dollars. It was sitting in a dusty old box on a shelf in Toys R Us and I soon found out why it sat there for seven years.

I remember seeing this commercial as a kid before owning an NES. I was kind of let down when I finally played the game and realized that it was centered around a pudgy elf, not a frantic mental patient.

Started playing this again a few years back - after years of player-friendly Final Fantasy and the like, I forgot how much goddamn leveling up was involved. Maybe when I retire in 40 years I'll finally beat this one.

It's too bad that bands like Revenant didn't get their due way back when, but such is the way of genre over-saturation.
